Baingan ki Kalaunji

Ingredients

  • kalaunji masala
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • cumin seeds
  • grinded onion 2 medium size
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  • 2 tsp dhanya powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4th tsp methi powder
  • 1/2 tsp saunf powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur

Method

  • Mix all the above ingredients and for about cook for 2 mins, then add chopped tomatoes and salt.
  • Cook till tomatoes are soft.
  • Switch off the gas, and let the mixture cool down and check the salt too. -Meanwhile wash the Baingan and slit four cuts into them, stuff them with prepared masala.
  • In a pan heat 2 tbsp of Mustard oil, add the baingan, put the salt, cover it with lid and cook till Baingan for 6 -7 minutes or until they are soft.
  • Ready to serve.
