Add flour, salt to a bowl and Knead it into a Dough to medium tough consistency, make round cakes of it.
Put water to boil, add the prepared rounds and let it boil till they start floating on top. Then take them out on a kitchen towel.
Then heat oil in a wok fry the boiled baaflas till golden brown outside frying gives a crunch to the baaflas.
For the daal:
Heat oil in a pan, add jeera, allow it to crackle.
Add chopped ginger and garlic, sauté till starts to appear golden. Add whole red chilies.
Add onion sauté till golden.
Add green chili, and cooked daal, mix well. Also add chopped tomatoes, simmer for 2-4 minutes and switch it off. Stir in some lemon juice and sprinkle chopped coriander. Pour over lots of ghee.
To eat just like daal baati, break the baaflas and add to the daal. Enjoy
