Ingredients

  • maida or all-purpose flour 400g
  • oil (moin) 100g
  • kalaunji daane 1 tbsp.
  • salt to taste
  • water to knead
  • oil to fry

Method

  • Put everything in a bowl except oil. Mix it with your hands. Take a pinch on a tsp. and taste to check for salt.
  • After everything is properly mixed, knead a tough dough using lukewarm water. Cover it with a wet towel and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  • Now divide the dough in golf size balls.
  • Roll out each ball in circular discs. Make sure they are not too thick, or too thin.
  • Divide each disc in four quadrants. Fry them medium hot oil till it turns golden brown.
