Khaste
Ingredients
maida or all-purpose flour 400g
oil (moin) 100g
kalaunji daane 1 tbsp.
salt to taste
water to knead
oil to fry
Method
Put everything in a bowl except oil. Mix it with your hands. Take a pinch on a tsp. and taste to check for salt.
After everything is properly mixed, knead a tough dough using lukewarm water. Cover it with a wet towel and keep aside for 20 minutes.
Now divide the dough in golf size balls.
Roll out each ball in circular discs. Make sure they are not too thick, or too thin.
Divide each disc in four quadrants. Fry them medium hot oil till it turns golden brown.
